Works directly with the Marketing & Communications team to shoot, edit and produce a broad array of video content for various internal and external campaigns. Captures professional footage of patient stories, employee testimonials, educational videos, and promotional materials keeping with the brand standards, voice and personality and in compliance with all HIPPA regulations.Thevideographer will shoot, edit, design, and create polished videos by editing raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. The videographer will also be responsible for creating the concept and layout for the video as well as participating in creative briefs and client meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Produce, direct and edit internal and external-facing videos for social media, internal communications, web site, recruiting/HR and marketing initiatives.

Assist in various production roles on larger video productions (i.e. TV ads, large campaigns)

Provide professional quality still photographs.

Produce, edit and distribute media content as required which may include photographs, motion pictures, motion graphics, animation, audio and music.

Coordinate and execute shoots on site/on location including lighting, audio, camera operation and talent direction. Additionally, handles assignments requiring special lighting, multiple locations, creativity, special audio needs, custom graphics, and animation.

Edit and assemble final visual/audio program material creating compelling and visually interesting products; observes brand standards, ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of product; creates photo galleries and slideshows with audio.

Write and produce photographic or video narratives; recommends, determines and procures type of talent needed for voice over work.

Conduct interviews with employees, administrators, physicians, clinicians, patients and community members to ensure that valuable sound bites and visual deliverables are appropriately captured.

Scout shoot locations and assesses possible obstacles in filming and provides solutions or alternatives.

Maintain all equipment in proper working order including troubleshooting and minor repairs as necessary.

Participate in significant departmental initiatives. Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues.

Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

Minimum three (3) years' experience in professional videography (conceptualizing, writing, shooting, editing, producing) and still photography with a reel/portfolio demonstrating creativity/proficiency.

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college, or a relevant industry certification.

Experience in operating SLRs (single lens reflex), Video Cameras, EFP, sound recording equipment, composing sequential shots, editing.

Experience with digital workflows for images and videos

Job knowledge and skills

Demonstrable commitment to the highest standard of ethical and professional conduct

Ability to work early morning, evening, and/or weekend hours as needed to complete assignments.

Outstanding organizational and project management abilities necessary.

Ability to work under pressure and challenging deadlines and adaptability and flexibility.

Experience in operating SLRs (single lens reflex), Video Cameras, EFP, sound recording equipment, composing sequential shots, editing.

Experience with digital workflows for images and videos.

Knowledge of live streaming platforms like Limelight, YouTube, Google+ Hangouts.

Proficiency in Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects or comparable software.

Proficiency in basic lighting principles.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite.

Creative thinker, extremely analytical, collaborative, resourceful, proven client relationship management skills.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Normal office environment. Some automobile travel required.
